Future of Hunting Festival of Hounds

We are pleased to confirm that the Future for Hunting Festival of Hounds will take place on Wednesday 22 July 2026.

The Festival of Hounds has always been one of the great annual gatherings of the hound world. This year, as part of the Future for Hunting campaign, it will carry even greater significance.

At a time when the Government is proposing to ban trail hunting, this is our opportunity to come together and celebrate the hounds, hunts, people and countryside communities that mean so much to us.

These wonderful hounds are at the heart of our way of life. They represent generations of care, knowledge, skill and commitment. They deserve to be seen, celebrated and understood.

This summer, we want the Festival to show the country the pride, unity and strength of support that exists for hounds, hunts and the future of lawful trail hunting.

The Festival is being run by the British Hound Sports Association, with the East of England Agricultural Society continuing to organise the historic Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show.

Tickets will be available soon. For now, please put 22 July in your diary, make a plan to be there, and encourage others to come with you.Let us make 22 July a day that shows the very best of our community.
