Festival of Hounds

Its time to plan your day around our packed line up of hound showing and competitions.

As well as the activities listed in the order of events below, be sure to make time to peruse the trade stands, visit the Blencathra fell hounds and of course grab yourself an ice cream!

7.00am	Gates open for hunt staff showing hounds
9.00am	Admission gates opens to ticket holders. Trade stands commence trading and Exhibitors open
9.30am	Judging commences in the Harrier and Beagle Rings 4 & 5
10.00am	Public bar opens
10.00am	Dog Hound Judging commences in the Fitzwilliam Enclosure
10.00am	Judging Commences in the Basset Hounds Ring 3
10.00am	Dog Hound Judging commences in the Old English Ring 2
11.00am	PRFSS Vice Presidents Marquee bar opens
11.00am	‘The Art of Judging’ demonstration by Julian Barnfield, Executive Director of the BHSA in Ring 1
1.00pm	Judging commences for the Hunt Picnic Competition
1.00pm	Lunch served in the PRFSS Vice Presidents marquee (pre-booked tables only)
1.45pm	Hunt Picnic Competition Winner to be announced at BHSA stand
2.00pm	Young Handlers Class begins in Ring 1
2.30pm	Bitch Hound Judging commences in the Fitzwilliam Enclosure
2.30pm	Bitch Hound Judging commences in the Old English Ring 2
2.30pm	Judging re-commences in the Harrier and Beagle Rings 4 and 5
6.00pm	Tradestand and Exhibitors close
7.00pm	Bar closes
7.30pm	Show site closes- All vehicles to be removed from site

Please note that there may be some variation to proceedings for activities around the middle of the day should hound judging run longer than expected.
